FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What makes The Orchard unique?

Our weekend worship gatherings present the timeless truths of The Bible in a way that impacts people in their lives today. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you can grow in your understanding of what it means to follow Jesus.

What will the service be like?

Since God is the ultimate creator, we feel like we should place a high priority on creativity.  So every weekend we work really hard at doing just that. Whether it's utilizing video clips, music or other creative art forms, we promise that our weekend worship gatherings will be relevant, down to earth and a great environment to grow in your relationship with Christ - no matter where you are at on your spiritual journey.

What should I wear to The Orchard?

Definitely clothes.  Ok, you probably already guessed that!  Casual clothes are the "norm" at The Orchard.

How long are services?

The weekend services at The Orchard typically last about an hour and ten minutes.

Will I be singled out in any way as a visitor?

At The Orchard, you’ll never be put on the spot, never feel forced to give money, and never embarrassed. You won’t be required to sign up for anything or "register" your attendance (unless you place your child in our children’s ministry or to redeem a guest card for a free drink at the Common Grounds Coffeehouse.)

Where do my kids go during the service?

Our children’s ministry provides an exciting experience for infants, toddlers, preschoolers (God's Big Top & Frutopia!), and grade schoolers (Wahabu Land!) through fifth grade.

This allows you to get the most from your experience at The Orchard while your child has a great time in a safe, friendly kid-centered environment!  For more information on Children's Ministries, contact Kathryn Egly at 630/897-8888 or by clicking here.

If you have a teenager, they are invited to attend the service with you. In addition, there are student ministries during the week specifically for them.  Our Senior High students meet every Wednesday from 7-9pm on the campus of The Orchard.  Junior High students meet on Sunday evenings from 6-8pm.  For more information on our Student Ministries click here.

Is The Orchard a Christian church?

Though non-traditional in style, Orchard Valley Community Church is deeply committed to the eternal truths of the Christian faith.  Our mission is simple: To lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
